§ Non posso smettere di toccarla e di ammirarla e ho già "costretto" la mia famiglia a vederla.

Inutile dire che tutti sono rimasti a bocca aperta.

§ I cannot stop touching and admiring it and I "compelled" my family to see it.

§ E' tutto perfetto, dalla scatola ad ogni singolo oggetto , minuziosamente riprodotto in avorio e ottone.
La scatola dei bottoni ha un prezioso coperchio di lapislazzuli e minuscoli bottoni all'interno.
Davvero un pezzo unico, da amare e tramandare ai nipoti.
Il pezzo più "grande" è un ditale Medievale e fa parte del corredo da cucito.

§ Everything is perfect , the box to every single object , cleverly reproduce in ivory and brass.
The buttons box has a precious lid made of laps lazuli and tiny buttons inside.
Truly a unique piece , to be loved and hand down to grandchildren.
The "biggest" piece is a Medieval thimble and it is part of the sewing accessories.

§ Ho aggiunto tre cuscinetti al mio negozietto Etsy.

Il tempo è tiranno ma il freddo degli ultimi giorni mi ha costretto in casa così ho potuto fare qualcosina di nuovo.

Spero vi piacciano come piacciono a me.

§ I added three little cushions to my little Etsy.
My time is very short but the weather has been so cold lately that I was compelled to stay at home and I could make something new.

§ Cosa c'entrano un paio di calzini con i copriteiera ?

C'entrano se qualcuno da molto lontano ti chiede di riprodurne il disegno.

Una bella scommessa ed un gradito cambiamento della routine.

§  How does a pair of socks relate to a teacozy ?

It does if someone from far away asks you to reproduce the pattern. 

A nice challenge and a welcomed change from routine.

§  Così è nato un copriteiera moderno, fresco e giovane nel colore preferito della mia "cliente" con cui ho scambiato una serie di mails per decidere sul da farsi.

§ A teacozy was born, modern, fresh and young in the best loved colour of my "customer" with whom I exchanged a few mails to make up our minds.

§  Eccolo qui vicino ad una teierina moderna e minimalista - dono di Sans :o)))

§ Here it is next to a small teapot minimalist and modern - gift from Sans :o)))

§  Avevo preparato un paio di opzioni per il retro , una più tradizionale con la stoffina a cuoricini ed una un po' folle con un maxi fiore a riprendere quelli su davanti.

§ I prepared a couple of options for the background , one more traditional with a pattern of wee hearts and another a bit crazy with a huge flower matching the ones on the front.

 § Ma Soyoko mi ha chiesto un retro sobrio e blu così eccolo qui , realizzato con del gros grain vintage la cui consistenza ben si sposa con quella della garza di seta su cui ho ricamato.

§ Soyoko instead asked me a sober and blue back and I did it in vintage gros grain , its consistency matches well the front one which is stitched on silk gauze .

§ Soyoko ha già visto il suo t-cozy che partirà per il Giappone domani : un gran balzo per una cosina così piccina.
Volevo ancora ringraziarla per questa commissione, è stato davvero divertente ricamarlo e per tutti voi: non esitate , se avete dei desideri particolari ..... basta chiamarmi :o))

§ Soyoko has already seen her T-cozy which will be  travelling for Japan tomorrow : a big jump for such a tiny
thing.
I want to thank her again for this commission , stitching it it's been real fun  and for you all : don't esitate , if you have special wishes ...... just call me :o))

Due ghirlande di rose - Two roses wreaths

§ Vi voglio mostrare uno dei miei ultimi lavori , un altro copriteiera :oP
Questo mi è stato ordinato da una gentilissima Sigra Norvegese e , poichè è già arrivato a casa sua, ve lo posso mostrare.
E' "La Ghirlanda di Rose" che avevo già fatto per Synnove , la differenza sta nel filato.
La mia committente voleva che sembrasse già vecchio e sbiadito per cui ho usato del filo di lino. E' un po' più noioso ma è naturalmente sfilacciato e dai colori tenui.

§ I want to show you one of my latest works , another teacozy  :oP
This was a custom order for a lovely Norwegian Lady and , since it has already arrived at her house , I can show it to you.
It is "The Rose Wreath" which I already made for Synnove , the difference is in the thread.
The Lady wished that it might look already old and faded so I used linen threads. It is a bit more difficult to use but it is naturally frayed and soft coloured.

§ Per ringraziarla della fiducia ho voluto farle una sorpresa e ho ricamato anche il retro con una nuova ghirlanda , la prima che faccio con questa tecnica.
Così potrà usare il copriteiera in due modi a seconda delle occasioni  :o)

PS la super teiera è di Lory , la adoro !!

§ I wished to thank her for her trust hence I made her a surprise and I stitched the background too with a new garland , the first one I did on aTcozy.
She will be able to use it in both ways depending on occasions :o)

Mezeri e ricamo - Mezeri and stitching

Ieri sera gironzolavo su Goggle incapace di dormire ed ho trovato una nuova immagine di Ricamatrice.

E' stato dipinto da un pittore Tedesco Franz Xaver Simm vissuto  alla fine  del XIX secolo.

La cosa che più mi affascina è il mezero con l'albero della vita sullo sfondo .

Questo quadro è stato dipinto probabilmente in Germania o Austria ma quanto si adatta anche alla mia terra.

Questo è il motivo per cui ho deciso che sarà appeso nella mia Casa Rossa , potrei fare finta che sia una mia antenata ;o))

Yesterday night I surfed on Goggle unable to get some sleep and I found a new image of a Stitcher.

It has been painted by a German artist Franz Xaver Simm who lived at the end of XIX century.

What  really fascinates me is the mezero with the tree of life on the background.

This painting has been probably produced in Germany or Austria but it is so becoming to my own country.

This is why it will be hung in my Casa Rossa , I can always pretend that she is an ancestor of mine ;o))

Aggiornamento su Etsy - Updating on Etsy

§ Natale è finito ed anche la Befana  è volata via.
Ho scontato tutti gli oggetti natalizi sul mio Etsy per fare un po' di spazio per nuovi arrivi , se volete andate a dare un'occhiata :o)

Regali di compleanno - Birthday presents

Lo so che il mio compleanno è passato da un pezzo ma finalmente oggi ho un pochino di tempo.

Ho bigiato l'asse da stiro ed ho fatto un paio di fotine. La luce è assente perciò sono bruttine ma dovevo vantarmi dei doni ricevuti.

I know that my birthday has long time gone but at last today have a bit of time.

I ditched the ironing board and I took some piccies. The light is absent hence they are quite ugly but I had to show off the gifts I received.

 Mercedes è stata lungimirante e mi ha dato il regalo ad Ottobre, quando ci siamo incontrate.
Io sono stata BRAVISSIMA ed ho aspettato fino al giorno giusto per aprirlo e ho fatto bene.

Mercedes was far-sighted and she gave me my present in October when we met.
I have been VERY GOOD and I waited till the due time to open it and I did well.

 Non è una meraviglia ????       Isn't it a marvel ????

 E' FANTASTICO !!!!!           IT IS WONDERFUL !!!!!

 E' così piccino e sottile che mi viene voglia di buttare via i miei copriteiera per la vergogna !

 Il 28 di Dicembre ho ricevuto un pacchetto dalla Germania : era partito il 7 !!!!

On the 28th December I got a parcel from Germany : it was sent on the 7 th !!!!

Thankfully the flowers  weren't true or I'd  have received a mess.

While I opened it I found a patch of Spring made by Sandra's clever hands

 Io sono rimasta senza parole e così W che non si esalta molto per le mini ma per questo non finiva di stupirsi.

I was wordless and so was W who usually is quite cold at minis but this time couldn't stop admiring it.

 Ed infine due oggetti di tale delicatezza che non ho neppure avuto il coraggio di toglierli dalla busta protettiva.

Lastly two pieces of such delicacy that I didn't even dared taking them out of their protective envelopes

 Sono dono di Linda e sono talmente fini e delicati da temere di romperli semplicemente guardandoli.

These are Linda's gift and they are so thin and delicate that I am afraid that I might ruin them by simply breathing on them.

 Li aprirò per esporli nella mia Casa , per ora sono ben riposti al sicuro.

I'll open them when I'll be able to find a place for them in my Casa, till now they are safely tucked away.

§ Devo ringraziare ancora di cuore queste amiche. I loro regali sono splendidi e preziosi come la loro amicizia.

13 - 12 - 11

§ Va bè, ci siamo, non posso negarlo , ormai sono 45.
Devo ammettere che 45 mi fanno un po' effetto.
Ho festeggiato i 40 anni come una bambina , ero felice di quella bella cifra tonda , ma adesso ? no, adesso mi fanno impressione.
Sono entrata nella curva discendente che mi porterà ai 50 anni ....... arghhhh !!!!
Ma io NON me li sento ! non me ne sento neppure 40 ...... quando sono depressa me ne sento 30 , tutt' al più.....
 Io mi sento come una ragazzina e da quando c'è il blog nella mia vita ancor di più.
Ha proprio ragione il mio M , non sono mica tutta sana  ;o)

§ Oh well, here we are , I cannot deny it , they are already 45.
I have to admit that 45 scare me a bit.
I celebrated my 40s like a child , I was happy of that nicely rounded number , but now ? no, now they frighten me.
I am in the falling graph which will lead me to 50 ........ arghhhhh !!!!
But I do NOT feel them ! I don't even feel 40 .......... when I am depressed I feel 30 , at the most ......
I feel like a young girl and even more since blogland came into my life.
My M is right , I am not totally sane ;o)

§ Per festeggiare il mio compleanno ho deciso di aprire finalmente il mio Etsy shop.
Dopo il KDF ho deciso di non fare più fiere come espositore . E' troppo stressante per me che lavoro a tempo pieno e devo preparare tutto di notte ed in più poi non riesco a godermi la fiera.
Questo deve essere un hobby ed un divertimento , non deve diventare una fonte d'ansia.
Così ho deciso per Etsy per fare un po' di spazio ai nuovi lavori e su cui posso lavorare , quando e se ho tempo, senza scadenze precise.

§ To celebrate my birthday I finally decided to open my Etsy shop.
After KDF I made up my mind not to do any more fairs as an exhibitor. It is far too stressfull for me having a full time job and preparing eveything at night. More over I cannot enjoy the fair.
This must be a hobby and a source of merriment , it must not became a source of anxiety.
Hence I made up my mind for Etsy , to make room for new works , and to which I can devote time , when and if I have it , with no set schedules.

In più ho avuto il piacere di salutare Mulvany & Rogers and Jens Torp ( i miei miti assoluti) mentre preparavano il loro allestimento.
Poi BASTA , il KDF mi è scivolato tra le dita . Per cui mi dispiace, se aspettavate delle foto...... rien, nada, niente.
