No time !!!

§ I have NO time, I have to run ,so mini pics will wait till I shall be back.

In the meanwhile here is a sneak peek of the Sagrada Familia, the most wonderful , fairy tale stone wood I have ever seen.

I saw it first time when I was 7 years old, many other times during the last decades ( cough cough......) and it never stops amazing me.

See you when I come back , only a couple of weeks from now :o))))

§ NON ho tempo, devo correre, così le foto delle mini dovranno aspettare finchè non sarò a casa di nuovo.
Nel frattempo vi lascio uno scorcio della Sagrada Familia , il più meraviglioso , fatato bosco di pietra che io abbia mai visto.
Lo vidi la prima volta a 7 anni , molte altre volte nel corso dei decenni ( cough cough ......) e non smette mai di meravigliarmi.

Ci vediamo al mio ritorno, solo un paio di settimane da ora :o))))

§ Sono a casa , non so se contenta o dispiaciuta.
La settimana appena passata è stata fantastica , piena di amicizia, affetto , cose buone da mangiare e posti belli da vedere.
Tutto questo grazie ad Eva , Alex ed Arnau che ci hanno accolto come membri della loro famiglia e che non smetteremo mai di ringraziare.
I giorni sono volati , letteralmente , ma speriamo di incontrarci di nuovo a Genova non appena sarà possibile.
In più ho incontrato queste Signore fantastiche e generose che Eva aveva invitato a casa per un mini meeting :o))))

§ I am at home , I don't know if I am glad or sorry.
Last week was fantastic, filled with friendship, affection, yummy foods and lovely places to look at.
All this thanks to Eva, Alex and Arnau who greeted us like family members and whom we shall never stop to thank.
Days have flown away, litterally, but we hope that we shall meet again in Genoa as soon as it will be possible.
More over I met these fabulous and generous Ladies whom Eva invited at her home for a mini meeting :o))))

Finalmente le ferie !!!!

Non ne potevo più , sono stravolta e anche oggi la giornata è stata infernale.
Per fortuna domani Matteo ed io partiremo per Barcellona dove avremo la gran gioia di incontrare Eva e la sua famiglia.

I couldn't stand with work anymore , I am worn out and even today I had a hell of a day.
Thankfully tomorrow Matteo and I will leave to Barcellona where we shall have the greatest pleasure of meeting Eva and her family.

§ Qualche tempo fa Mari@  pubblicò sul suo blog dei manifesti ed io mi innamorai di questo.

La faccina del bimbo con la testina insaponata è adorabile e lo volevo per il bagno dei "bambini".

Così contattai Mari@ tramite il suo Etsy per poterlo avere.

§ Some time ago Mari@ published on her blog some posters and I fell in love with this.

The little face of the kid with the soapy head is just unbeatable and I wanted it for the "kids" bathroom.

Thus I got in contact with her through her Etsy.

§ E' arrivato ieri , semplicemente delizioso come mi aspettavo ma accompagnato da un gioiello.

§ It arrived yesterday , simply delightful as I expected it to be but it came with a jewel.

Domani sera partirò per Parigi  dove trascorrerò 3 giorni in compagnia di Linda e David che non vedo l'ora di rincontrare :o))

Vi annuncio che ho domato il nuovo telefono per cui sarò in grado di avere il mondo a portata di mano. Non pensavo che ci sarei riuscita.... sono meno scema di quanto pensassi ;o)

Technology vs Steampunk

§ Mi sono arresa ....
Io, che odio la tecnologia, che non accendo mai il televisore , che uso ancora il passaverdure a mano , che uso il pc  per il blog e per navigare sul web ma che ho bisogno di aiuto per qualsiasi problema, ho cambiato telefono.

La ragione è pratica ; quest'estate partirò per un viaggio da sola e andrò abbastanza lontano e da qui nasceva il quesito su come mantenere i contatti con la famiglia.
Le opzioni erano due , o compravo un laptop  oppure cambiavo telefono ..... ho fatto la mia scelta seppure con dispiacere.
Io voglio bene al mio telefonino steampunk ! si accontenta di poche briciole di carbone, funziona SEMPRE , mi ha accompagnato in giro per il mondo , mi ha permesso di telefonare anche nel bel mezzo delle piantagioni di canna da zucchero in Brasile , su un atollo a Zanzibar , al centro della Malesia , perfino sul Monte Antola ! mi sembra di tradirlo, anzi no, lo sto tradendo !

Però oggi ho portato a casa il nuovo bambino , adesso sta facendo la pappa e stasera , con l'aiuto di Matteo proverò a configurarlo. Ho già gli attacchi di panico !

§ I gave up ....
I hate technology , I never switch on the TV and I still use manual grinder .
I only use the pc for the blog and surfing on the net but I need help whenever I have a problem , that's me and I changed my mobile.

There is a practical reason ; this summer I shall travel alone and quite far from home so I needed something to keep in touch with the family.
Two were the options , either I bought a laptop or I changed the mobile .... I made my choice even with some regret.
I am fond of my little steampunk mobile ! it feeds of a few crumbs of coal , it ALWAYS works , it came with me all over the world ,  it allowed me to call in the middle of sugar cane plantations in Brasil, on a atoll in Zanzibar , in the center of Malaysia , even on the Mount Antola ! I feel as if I were betraying it , actually I am !

Nonetheless today I brought the new baby home , now it is feeding and tonight, with Matteo's help , I shall try to set it.  I already have panic attacks !

Aspettando Venere - Waiting for Venus

§ Svegliarsi alle 5.20 del mattino con tuo figlio

Vestirsi ed arrampicarsi sul tetto del palazzo con il telescopio

Fissare una meravigliosa scintillante Luna piena sopra la tua testa

Guardare le rondini volare basse e nutrire i loro piccini

Annusare la fragranza della focaccia che cuoce nel forno dirimpetto e che impregna l'aria

Aspettare l'alba sulla cima delle colline perchè questa mattina Venere, la Terra ed il Sole hanno un appuntamento che non si ripeterà fino al 2117

Chiacchierare con tuo figlio di sciocchezze e di cose importanti , schioccargli un bacio di tanto in tanto anche se fa finta che non gli piaccia

Ammirare i primi raggi  che salgono dai boschi lontani lontani e preparare la macchina fotografica ed il filtro solare

E d ecco , tutto ad un tratto, il Sole e la sua amica

Seguire il loro cammino finchè non si separano di nuovo per i prossimi 105 anni

Sorridersi a vicenda

Tornare giù, fare colazione con calma , prepararsi per la scuola ed il lavoro

Potete immaginare un modo migliore per iniziare una giornata?

Chat with your son of nuisances and important things , flew a kiss to him from time to time even though he pretends not to to like them

Admire the first rays coming up the woods far far away and get ready with the camera and sun filter

And all of a sudden , look, here is the Sun and his friend

Follow their walk till they separate again for the next 105 years

Smile at each other

Climb back , have a leisurely breakfast , get ready for school and work

Can you think of a better way to start the day ?

Corso Italia di corsa - Running in Corso Italia

E' vero !

Correre è terapeutico , aveva ragione Sans quando me lo diceva.

Io non ho mai amato correre ma ho sempre adorato camminare.

Ultimamente ho camminato moltissimo e sempre più velocemente tanto che i miei tempi si stavano avvicinando sempre più a quelli di un corridore

Stamattina ho deciso di fare il gran passo , mi sono infilata le scarpe e ho cominciato. 

Sono soddisfatta di me stessa : 5 km da casa mia alla Fiera del Mare passando per Corso Italia  (panorama magnifico e mare stupendo) in soli 37 minuti !! 

Sembravano 30 ma ho fatto un doppio controllo e sono un po' cresciuti ....

La mia mise era quanto mai originale ;o)   Ho usato un paio di shorts di mio figlio quando aveva 9 anni , un paio di scarpe comprate 11 anni fa allo scopo e MAI usate e una maglietta omaggio di una ditta di occhiali da sole ....

Certo non vincerò un premio di eleganza ma che soddisfazione riuscire a farcela !

Il ritorno però l'ho fatto camminando ;o)

It's true!
Running is therapeuthic , Sans was right when she told me.
I never liked running but I always loved walking .
Lately I walked a lot and ever faster and faster ,  so much that my timings were getting closer and closer to those of a slow runner.
This morning I decided to jump into the dark , I put on my shoes and I began running.
I am proud of myself : 5 kms from my house to Fiera del Mare following Corso Italia (breathtaking landscape and wonderful sea) in only 37 min !
They seemed 30 but I double checked and they grew up a bit ....

My attire was at least original ;o)   I wore a pair of shorts which belonged to my son when he was 9 years old , a pair of shoes bought on purpose 11 years ago and NEVER used and a t-shirt gift of a sunglasses brand.....
I shall never win a prize for elegance but it has been such a satisfaction to be able do to it !

BTW I came back home walking ;o)

§ Oggi è accaduto un fatto terribile , tragico , incredibile.
Hanno colpito i nostri ragazzi , il futuro dell' Italia .
Non si conoscono la ragione , il motivo , i mandanti ma dobbiamo far conoscere il nostro sdegno insieme al nostro dolore.
Restiamo uniti , non ci sfaldiamo perchè questo ci renderebbe più deboli e soli.




§ Today a terrible , tragic ,  incredible event has occurred .
Our children , the future of Italy , have  been struck .
We don't know the reason , the grounds , the mandators but we must let our indignation be known together with our sorrow .
We must be tight , don't get loose because this will only make us weaker and more alone.

Tarda Primavera - Late Spring

§  Tarda Primavera perchè siamo sempre più vicini all'Estate ma anche perchè qui a Genova , nonostante il sole splendente, fa sempre freddo a causa del vento.
§ Late Spring because we are approaching Summer but also because here in Genoa , although the sun shines, it is always cold because of the winds.

§ I fiori sono tutti fatti da me a partire dai kits di Pascale Garnier, Templewood Miniatures e Carol .

Tutti tranne il meraviglioso mazzo di fiori dono di Sandra e la mini piantina dono di Mercedes

§ I made all the flowers starting from kits by Pascale Garnier, Templewood Miniatures and Carol.

§   Ho provato a riunire un pochino di fiori , simbolo della Primavera , per dimenticare di dover portare il golfino in casa :o(
§ I tried to gather some flowers, symbol of Spring , to forget that I have to wear a jumper at home :o(

§ E ho anche ricamato un nuovo cuscino che sembra sempre felice :o)
§ And I also stitched a new pillow which looks always happy :o)
