ll sofa

Recently my days have been quite hectic. I travelled up and down from Genoa to Turin, I worked a lot and I even enjoied a day with my migraine. The Bastard as I call it.....
Nonetheless I managed to produce something :o))
Last Thursday I went out with a friend and we made a stop in a shop inside the historic centre, I suppose it's the only  one in Genoa, where American patchwork fabrics are sold.
A heaven for a miniaturist since you can find delightful mini prints.
And here, totally unespected because totally unlooked for, I found a print which looks perfect for my Chippendale sofa which had been sadly languishing on a shelf for a while.
Thus last Sunday night I played with my first kit.
I'm not completely happy with it but considering that it's a first trial I don't think it's bad.
In a short while it will have bolsters and some cushions to dress it up.
I'm still uncertain on its location, I already have a couple of ideas but it's  to be decided yet.

It looks wonderful Rosanna....I also have this kit hidden some where in a box....you have inspired me to look for it.
(I can imagine you walking in the historic area, I am so envious, wish I was there!!) The fabric looks perfect and the final result of your work is fantastic, I know you shall dress it to perfection with you wonderful cushions.
So sorry to here about the 'bad' head....is it due to too much fine work....or too much hard work??

Buona notte :-)

I am so sorry your have to deal with migraine headaches. My daughter has to deal with those and she can't take a lot of the meds that are normally used.
Love the sofa - so pretty.
One of the things on my list, is to work on my minis again.

Rosanna, your sofa is divine! It always amazes me how a tiny pattern can look so "grown up" on a miniature piece of furniture! I think I have that kit too, but have not decided on the fabric I want to use.... yours is very inspiring!
Sorry about the headache! :(

Rosanna.. Your sofa is gorgeous!

I would be very happy to send you American quilting fabrics. Just email me and tell me what color or sort of design you are looking for.
There are so many tiny prints you might like.

I am sorry to hear you suffer from those awful migraines. I have a good friend that has to go to the emergency room for a shot of morphine when she gets them. OMG!

How lovely. The fabric is wonderful, so retro and will look great with your cushions. Isn't it great to find something when it is not expected and your weren't looking. Hope the migraine has gone by now.
