Mini e Poesia - Minis and Poetry

Writing on the wall says: To me it is not a game
§  On Friday night I met a special person.
She is a poet , an artist and a miniaturist .
Her name is Angela Mambelli and she writes poems and tells stories with the aid of room boxes which are manipulated and shooted live on stage.

§ On Friday night I attended to her performance inside the show of the Duplex Ride cultural association

§ I have been fascinated by her way of exploring mini world, not as something which is  an end in itself , close in the selfglorifying ability of perfect reproduction of real world but open to different forms of art.
Actually may be for the first time I truly understood how huge are the chances of expression in such a minuscule world.

§  This room was bound to one of her performances.
The complete writing says :  " And small tears do not wet the pillow".

§ And here is the text. To non Italian readers , please, scan it and go to Google translator . Hopefully it will not ruin it too much.

§ And here is Angela during her performance in the courtyard of Palazzo Nicolosio Lomellino in Via Garibaldi.
Susan and Linda , you know which is it : the only one the the light blue facade :o))

I LOVE your jacket Rosanna!:)
The rooms are very interesting, you're right, very inspiring project. Good to see how different miniatures can be used.:)
Thank you for sharing it!
Hugs and kisses

What an interesting project - a very smart idea stressing a poem not by showing a photo or video but a 3D-impression. Thanks for sharing - and btw, her roomboxes are pretty good.

Come ti ho già detto: MOLTO interessante!

O ! Ewa has beaten me to it! Rosanna, that jacket is OUTSTANDING! And you look FABULOUS!

I will have loved to go to a show like this. I am afraid we can't scan the text, dear Ro but it's ok, you have translated her work pretty well with your pictures.

I love yellow, Rosanna, wish I had a yellow jacket!

What an interesting concept, the idea of miniatures as theatre, beyond puppetry. And to merge with poetry. I love the artists out there in the world who use miniatures as their art, to tell stories, to talk about the world. I just saw a show this weekend at our nearby Japanese gardens and museum, which displayed dolls that were not toys, that were not for children. It's always amazing to see adults use of the small to explain the world.

Grazie Rosanna!
