Libri, amore mio

§ Io amo i libri.

§ I love books.
Old and new, bestsellers and reminders, children and recipes books, illustrated or not.
It is a love born when I was a child and which never dozed off.

Pic taken from www.iloveimola.it
Un pin up Ebook  ;o)

§ But since last June I turned to the enemy, I bought an Ebook.
A RED Ebook, flashy, easily recognizable among the crowd of its black and anonymous siblings.

§ Incredibly this has nurtured my thirst for reading even more, let's say that it is always with me and everywhere I go I read like a crazy.
It has been on holiday with me, it comes with me at work, it keeps me company in waiting rooms and it keeps many, many, many books :o)

§ None withstanding the charme of the BOOK, the real one, never let me indifferent, rather the opposite, it's even grown.
Therefore when I saw this report on Repubblica I couldn't resist.... HERE it is for all of you.

Rosanna, the "Water library" is wonderful. I would love to see it in person. Thank you for showing it.

Rosanna, you are a good saleswoman for the e-books!!! I have resisted buying one... but you make it sound like such a great thing...! Maybe I need to go shopping... or maybe it will make me never stop reading....?LOL!
I too love books and have a terrible weakness for collecting them... but have no room in my home for a "library" any more!

I still prefer books over e-books - surely the last ones have a lot of advantages, but... I love smell of freshly bought book or the old one, I love their weight and I love mke notes in some kind of books too. ;) Besides I think my eyes are less tired when I read paper books long than when I watch the screen.;)
Have fun reading lots of new books!

I was always prefering real books... the feeling of the paper, the turning around of the pages... But as you know my Mom has this arm handicap and my arms aren't as good as they should be either so one day I bought one for my Mom... and it didn't take long until I had my own one. It's so much easier to hold it in our hands... and you're having a whole library in one small thingie with no more space problems in the book shelves... You see - I totally changed my mind! Have fun with your catchy red one!

I love reading. I'm a bookworm. At the moment, I am reading four different series. I read as soon as I have a spare moment. I also read when I should be doing other things. I read while waiting for the bus and on the bus. I eat while eating (not good) I need to stop that. I read while the water is boiling for tea or while whatever is in the oven is ready to be removed. See, I love to read. I could not read your article since it's in Italian. I don't do e-books. I prefer the real thing. I guess I'm old fashioned!

I adore my iPad where I store books, music, magazines and thousands (& I mean thousands) of photos. I love the convenience...it simply slides into my hand bag and is always there when I need it. It makes traveling a breeze. Enjoy your 'reader' Rosanna....but don't forget your miniatures. I long for a progress report on your house.
