Sono opera di un giovane miniaturista di cui non ricordo il nome, mannaggia a me, ma le trovo favolosamente divertenti.

Genova nascosta

§ A Genova esistono scorci poco conosciuti e angoli che nascondono grandi storie.

Questo è il ponte dell'Acquedotto Aicardi costruito nel 1623 per portare acqua pulita fino al centro della città.

Oggi la giornata era fantastica e il mio papà ed io abbiamo fatto una passeggiata lungo l'antica via d'acqua dalla chiesa di San Siro , antica di 1000 anni, e il paesino di Davagna fino al ponte della Presa.

In poco più di 1 ora abbiamo compiuto il percorso in mezzo alla macchia mediterranea che spandeva i suoi profumi.

Bellissimo.

§ In Genoa there are misknowed spots and places which hide great stories.

This the bridge of Aicardi Acqueduct built in 1623 to bring clean water down to city center.

Today the weather was brilliant and my dad and I had a stroll along the ancient water way from San Siro church, 1000 years old, to the small village of Davagna to the Presa Bridge.

In little more than 1 hour we have done the whole way in the middle of mediterrenean bush and its lovely smells.

Wonderful.

Autunno a Genova

Oggi a Genova il tempo era STUPENDO !

L'autunno a Genova è meraviglioso, il sole splende, il cielo è terso e l'aria è frizzante come un bicchiere di buon spumante.

E io sono uscita senza macchina fotografica !!

Per fortuna la mia amica Paola del blog Nocciole Tostate è più lungimirante e un paio di giorni fa ha postato sul suo blog queste foto.

Fall in Genoa is beautiful, the sun shines, the sky is clear blue, air is as sparkling as a good wine.

And I went out without my camera !!

benvenuti

§ Negli ultimi tempi ho avuto davvero tanto da fare.
Siamo andati in vacanza ma sia prima di partire che dopo la partenza non riuscivo a fare che la metà di quello che avrei voluto.
Tra l'altro ho trascurato di fare una cosa a cui ho sempre tenuto tantissimo: salutare i nuovi lettori.
Dopo il 100° non ho più dato in benvenuto a nessuno.
Scusatemi tanto, non è stato per disinteresse. Vi ringrazio tutti per il vostro tempo e il vostro apprezzamento.

§ During the last period I really had too much to do.
We have gone on holiday but before leaving and as soon as we came back I could not manage to do more than half which I planned.
More over I neglected to do something which I have always cared for: welcoming the new followers.
After the 100th one I have never welcomed anyone.

nuovi copriteiera

§ Ho finito il secondo copriteiera per l'amica che me l'ha commissionato.

Ne ho fatti due per permetterle di scegliere come ho già fatto per le apine.

Spero che le piacciano e che almeno uno sia come lo desiderava.

Ho usato filo di lino così sembrano già un po' vecchiotti e quello con la ghirlanda ha anche qualche macchietta.... si sà, con l'uso le cose si rovinano ;o))

§ I finished the second teacozy for the friend who asked me for one of them.

I did two to let her choose the one she likes more as I have previously done for the little bees.

I hope she likes them and that at least one could be as she wished.

I stitched with linen floss to make hem look a bit old and the one wth the garland has little stains... you know, after so much use ;o))

Monday 9.50 pm: last minute news. This is the chosen one. I really wish that my friend will be happy with it. Thank you very much.

Solo per i fan di Harry Potter

§ A Fort William c'è una piccola stazione, niente di importante, ma da qui parte un treno speciale.

E' il "Jacobite", il treno a vapore che Harry Potter prende per andare ad Hogwarts.

Purtroppo non porta a nessun castello magico ma il panorama...quello sì che è magico.

La ferrovia costeggia il Loch Shiel protagonista di tanti panorami potteriani e attraversa il Viadotto Glenfinnan con le sue 21 arcate.

Il punto di arrivo è Mallaig, una piccola cittadina da cui si può prendere il traghetto per l'isola di Skye.

Purtroppo il tempo non era bellissimo (garbato eufemismo per dire che faceva schifo!)

§ In Fort William there is a small train station, nothing particular, but a special train leaves from here.

It is the " Jacobite", the steam train that Harry Potter catches to go to Hogwarts.

Unfortunately it does not take to any magic castle but the landscape... that is magic.

The railway borders the Loch Shiel that you have seen in Harry's movies and crosses the 21 arched Glenfinnan Viaduct

The arrival point is Mallaig, a small coastal town from which is possible to take the ferry to the Isle of Skye.

Alas the weater was no beautiful ( kind euphemism to say that it was miserable !)

§ Oggi è arrivato il catalogo Ikea.

Ognuno può pensarne ciò che vuole ma a me Ikea piace.

Ho avuto la necessità di comprare la cucina da loro e ho trovato più professionalità e disponibilità di quanto ne abbia mai trovato in mobilifici di ben altro livello.

Ma non era questo che volevo dirvi.

Guardate la copertina, non sembra una casa delle bambole?

§ Today I received Ikea catalogue.

Everyone is free to think what they want but I like Ikea.

I had to buy the kithen from them and I found more professionalism and helpfulness than I had ever found in much higher level shops.

But this is not what I wanted to tell you.

Look a the cover: doesn't it look like a doll house?

§ Andando verso la Scozia non potevo fermarmi a Carlisle dove si trova un negozio di Dolls House Emporium.

Francamente il negozio è stato uno delusione ma il Museo delle Miniature annesso....

Beh, quello è fantastico.

In teoria non si potevano fare foto ed io sono stata una brava bambina.

Non sapevo che Walter, con il suo telefonino, stava fotografando tutto quello che poteva!

Ho scelto quelle migliori, purtroppo non rendono granchè l'idea della qualità delle miniature esposte ed è un vero peccato.

La room box sul fondo, con il tavolo Regency e le pareti chiare, è stata fatta da Mulvany & Roger e credetemi sulla fiducia se vi dico che è perfetta e meravigliosa.

Così come i mobili intarsiati della Stanza Francese.












§ Going towards Scotland I could not help stopping at Carlisle where there is a shop by Dolls House Emporium.

The shop itself has been quite deluding but the Museum of Miniatures nearby....

Well, that is fantastic !

Truly it was not allowed taking pics and I behaved myself like a good girl.

I did no know that Walter, with his mobile, was shooting at anything he could !

I have chosen the best ones, alas they do not give the real idea of the quality of the miniatures and that's truly a pity.

The one at the bottom with the Regency table and light coloured walls is made by Mulvany & Rogers and trust me if I tell you that the plasterings and paintings are flawless and wonderful.

As well as the furniture with marquetry work in the French room.
