Buon Natale in ritardo - Belated Merry Christmas

lo so , sono in ritardo ma fatevi fare tanti auguri lo stesso.
Se non valgono più per Natale varranno per questi giorni di interregno che ci separano dal Nuovo Anno.
Spero che Natale sia stato per tutti voi un momento piacevole ricco di affetti e condivisione.
Per me lo è stato nonostante la maratona di pranzi,visite e riunioni famigliari nel mezzo del lavoro che non si ferma e che mi hanno lasciato stremata.

Perciò vi faccio tanti tanti auguri per .... per tutto ciò che volete, desiderate ed amate

I hope that Christmas was a pleasant moment for all of you, full of affection and sharing.
For me it was despite the marathon of lunches, visits and family gathering in the middle of the work that doesn't stop and that left me exhausted.

§ E' stata un'estate intensa.
E' stata un'estate calda, un'estate lavorativa ringraziando l'aria condizionata che mi accoglieva ogni giorno.
E' stata un'estate di nuotate in un mare incantevole, blu e ricco di vita, di passeggiate e pisolini in terrazza sul tetto.
E ora sarà un'autunno dorato e luminoso nella mia città che è la più cara al mio cuore.

It's been a hot summer, a working summer during which I was thankfull to the air con which greeted me every day.

Lucky bamboo

§  Il Bambù della fortuna è una pianta diventata di moda negli ultimi anni, si trova ovunque ed è facile da coltivare.

In realtà non è un bambù bensì una pianta della famiglia delle Agavaceae ma non voglio farvi una lezione di Botanica .... anche perché non ne sarei capace ;o)

§ The Lucky Bamboo is a plant which became fashionable in the last years, you can find it anywhere and it's easy to grow.

Truly it is not a bamboo but it's a plant of the Agavaceae family but I am not here for a botanical lesson .... mainly because I couldn't do it ;o)

 

§ Il mio bambù è fortunato perché se ha trovato un vaso accogliente e bellissimo è grazie ad un'amica speciale.
Questa adorabile ciotola è un dono di Norma ed è opera di Margaret Crosswell  una miniaturista Australiana che purtroppo non vende online ma di cui posseggo alcuni pezzi grazie alla generosità di un'altra amica, Linda.

§ My bamboo is a lucky one because if it found a comfy and beautiful vase it is thanks to a special friend.
This adorable bowl is a gift from Norma and it's work of Margaret Crosswell an Australian miniaturist who, alas, doesn't sell online but I am the, again, lucky owner of a few pieces thanks to the generosity of another friend, Linda.

§ Il mese scorso sono stata a Parigi per il SIMP e sono stata così fortunata da incontrare Norma Bennet dall'Australia.
Siamo state in contatto tramite i nostri blog per 10 anni, forse una delle prime persone che ho conosciuto,nella blog sfera, ed è stato meraviglioso incontrarci di persona! Purtroppo nessuna delle due ha pensato a fare una foto !
Ci siamo incontrate all 8,30 al suo hotel, siamo andate a fare la coda insieme al SIMP e dopo la fiera ci siamo di nuovo incontrate per cena in un bistrot.
Cose che succedono solo a Blogland !!!

§ Last month I was in Paris for SIMP and I have been so lucky to meet Norma Bennet from Australia.
We have been in touch through our blogs for the last 10 years, one of the first people I met in blogland, and it was wonderful to meet in real life !
Alas none of us thought of taking a pic of the two of us !
We met at 8,30 am at her hotel and went to SIMP to queue together and after the fair we met again for dinner in a bistrot.
Something which happens only in Blogland !!!

Condivisione - Sharing

§ Il mio computer è morto all'inizio dell'anno.
Forse proprio morto no, diciamo che sta agonizzando.
Un amico sta cercando di riportarlo in vita ma nonostante tutti gli scongiuri temiamo che non riuscirà.

Questo incipit serve a giustificare una lunga assenza dal blog e la carenza di contatti con tutti voi.

In mio aiuto è venuto il mio compagno e da un paio di giorni ho un laptop "di cortesia" che mi fa sentire collegata con questo mondo virtuale/reale che condivido con tutti voi.

Condivisione che si allarga stasera ad una poesia di Adrienne Rich, Power.
L'ho sentita ieri per la prima volta, la recitava la protagonista di Wild e mi ha profondamente colpita: quanti di noi potranno negare che la nostra forza e la nostra sofferenza non hanno le stesse origini ?

In questi giorni mi sembra più che mai vero.

Oggi una ruspa ha estratto da un mucchio di terra franata
una bottiglia ambrata, perfetta, una cura vecchia di centanni
per la febbre o la malinconia
un tonico
per vivere su questa terra.
Oggi leggevo di Mary Curie:
è morta donna famosa
negando le sue piaghe
negando che le sue piaghe avessero la stessa origine

Cinquanta !!!! - FIFTY !!!!

§ Finalmente ci sono, oggi compio 50 anni !

Dico finalmente perché io ho dichiarato di averli per gli ultimi 2/3 anni.
"Perché?"  mi chiederete voi e avreste anche ragione.
In effetti il motivo era quello di semplificare la risposta alla frequente, noiosa domanda: " Ma dottoressa, quanti anni ha? e da quanto lavora qui ?"
Dire 50 era più facile che 47/48/49, più tondo, insomma mi piaceva di più.
Col risultato che mi ero sinceramente dimenticata di quanti anni avessi sul serio (^_^)
Solo quest'estate in occasione di una visita medica la dottoressa che mi visitava mi corresse ricordandomi la verità.

Ma ecco che i fatidici 50 sono arrivati !

Per ricordarli ho chiesto a Letizia Iannacone, super talentuosa illustratrice e adorabile ragazza, di creare per me una vignetta che mi rappresentasse.
Così ecco come lei mi vede, nelle mie vesti, uhm uhm, professionali con un pizzico del mio lato birichino ;o) che affiora per dirvi .... FESTEGGIATE CON ME !

Un abbraccio a tutti voi amici ed amiche della blog sfera, anche voi siete un pezzo importante della mia vita e se oggi festeggio un po' è anche per merito vostro.

§ Finally, here we are, today I turn 50 years old !

I say finally because I have been declaring them for the last 2/3 years.
"Why?" you might ask me and you would be right.
Actually the reason was to simplify the answer to the frequent, boring question:" Oh well doctor, how old are you? and how long have you been working here?"
Saying 50 seemed easier than 47/48/49, a rounder number, I simply liked it better,
The result was that I sincerely forgot of how really old I was  (^_^)
Only last summer during a check up the doctor who was examining me corrected me pointing out the truth.

But here they are, the fateful 50 are here !

I asked to Letizia Iannacone, super talented illustrator and adorable young woman, to create a vignette for me which might represent me and which might be a souvenir of the occasion.
This is how she sees me, in my, uhm uhm, professional attire with a pinch of my naughty side ;o) coming to surface to ask you ....... CELEBRATE WITH ME !

My blog sphere friends, I send you all an embrace, you are an important part of my life too and if I celebrate today it's also a bit because of you.

San Teodoro

§ Tra 20 giorni sarò in ferie !!!!
Quest'anno ho aspettato fino all'ultimo momento per andare in ferie e non me ne rammarico.
Luglio ed Agosto a Genova sono bellissimi, il mare è magnifico, blu zaffiro e verde smeraldo, i pesci affollano le acque dove vado a nuotare il più possibile.
La città è più tranquilla ma non svuotata ed i ritmi possono rallentare un pochino... non troppo , solo un po', ma quel tanto che ti premette di godere del sole e della brezza.
Ciò nonostante sono felice che anche per me stiano per arrivare due settimane di dolce far niente.
Quest'anno per la prima volta in vita mia ( roba da vergognarsi) calcherò il suolo sardo: andrò a San Teodoro vicino ad Olbia.

§ I shall be on holiday in 20 days !!!!
This year I waited to the very last minute to go on holiday and I don't regret it.
July and August in Genoa are wonderful, the sea is sapphire blue and emerald green, schools of fishes pack the waters where I go swimming any time I can.
The city is calmer but not empty and life rhythms can slow down a bit ....not too much, just a little, but it's enough to enjoy the sun and the breeze.
None the less I am happy that two weeks of easy going life are arriving for me too.
This year, for the first time in my life (shame on me) I'll step on the Sardinian soil: I'll go to San Teodoro close to Olbia.

Trip to memory lane

§ Oggi sono andata a trovare la mia cara amica Sabrina e casualmente si è parlato della room box che avevo fatto per Simona, sua sorella gemella.

§ Today I went on visit at my dearest friend Sabrina's home and casually we talked of the room box which I made for her twin sister Simona.

§ È un progetto originale basato sulle richieste di Simona dove ho fatto davvero tutto e assomiglia moltissimo alla sua stanza preferita

La differenza è data dalle finestre che nella realtà non esistono mentre qui si affacciano sul piccolo e bellissimo golfo di Paraggi

§ It is an original project based on Simona's wishes and I made everything and it resembles a lot her favourite room

The difference is given by the windows which don't exist in reality while here they overlook the small and beautiful gulf of Paraggi

§ Sul soppalco c'è un angolino comodo per rilassarsi e leggere

§ On the mezzanine there is a comfy corner to relax and read

§ Al piano inferiore tutto il necessario per lavorare e ricevere le amiche

§ At the lower floor there is everything you need to work and welcome friends
