San Valentino .... un giorno dopo - Valentine's Day .... one day later

§ Come sempre arrivo in ritardo alle feste.
 Non lo faccio apposta, capita così ...

§ As usual I arrive late at holidays.
I don't make it on purpose, it just happens ...

§  San Valentino poi non mi appartiene molto. Io sono una romanticona ma i festeggiamenti obbligati non mi piacciono proprio e allora fingo che non esistano proprio e faccio la burbera.
Ma, in realtà, adoro i cuoricini , il rosa e le cose carine ( e qui arrossisco ....)

§ Valentine's Day doesn't appeal much to me. I am a romantic soul but mandatory festivities aren't my piece of cake and then I pretend that they simply do not exist and I play the grouchy.
But, actually, I do love hearts, pink and all things nice ( I am blushing ...)

 § Per questo vi mostro in ritardo il mio angolo "sanvalentinoso", una poltroncina comodosa con un cuscinetto mieloso ;o)

§ This is why I show you a bit late my Valentinesque corner, a comfy chair with a corny pillow ;o)

§ Il cuscinetto con le tortorelle innamorate l'ho fatto io ma la meravigliosa coperta è un prezioso dono di Frederica. Questa copertina ha fatto un lungo viaggio dalla Nuova Zelanda nella valigia di Mercedes che me la consegnò a casa di Sylvia nell'autunno 2011. Ne ha fatta di strada !!!

§ The pillow with the enamoured turtle doves was made by me while the wonderful blanket is a precious gift by Frederica. This blanket made a long trip from New Zealand inside Mercedes' suitcase who gave it to me at Sylvia's house in Autumn 2011. It travelled a long way !!!

§ La sedia è un dono di Lara in seguito ad un giveaway di tanti anni fa. Io ho rivestito il cuscino ed i braccioli ma guardate lo schienale, è bellissimo !!!

§ The chair is a gift  from Lara during a giveaway of many years ago. I reupholstered the cushion and the armrests but look at the back, it is beautiful !!!

Ad ogni modo vi auguro di aver trascorso un felice San Valentino con i vostri amori, marito, figli o pelosetti che siano ;o)

L'anno scorso ero a Dubai, e va bè non mi lamento, ma nel 2014 ero a letto con la febbre :o(

§ Prima gita dell'anno , San Fruttuoso di Camogli sul promontorio del monte di Portofino
§ First trek of the year to San Fruttuoso di Camogli on the promontory of the Mount Portofino

§  La giornata non era delle migliori ma l'aria era tersa ed il mare blu zaffiro
 Dalla cima del monte si scende per circa 200 metri per arrivare al piccolo porto e si può arrivare solo camminando od in barca ma ne vale la pena e lungo la strada si possono ammirare scorci bellissimi

§ The weather was not at its best but the air was clear and the sea saphire blue
From the top of the hill you must get down some 200mts to reach the tiny hamlet where you can go only by trekking or by boat. It is worth the effortand along the path you can admire wonderful seascapes

§ E' una gita che ho fatto infinite volte e sempre con enorme piacere perchè la natura è di una bellezza mozzafiato
§ It is an excursion which I have done countless times and always with the greatest pleasure because the beauty of nature there is breathtaking

§  Questa volta però la sorpresa l'abbiamo avuta nel bosco sul monte .... piccoli presepi sono stati nascosti tra le radici dei castagni e dentro ad anfratti e mini grotte, riparati dalla pioggia e dal vento

§ This time we got a surprise in the woods and chestnut groves on the hill ... small nativities had been hidden among the trees roots and inside small clefts and tiny grottoes , sheltered from wind and rain

§  Cercarli è stato come partecipare ad una caccia al tesoro

§  Looking for them it's been like taking part of a treasure hunt

 Ci sono angeli   -  There are angels

 Ci sono i Re Magi  -  There are the Wise Men

§  Un cavallino solitario che guarda stupito il "ditone" del mio compagno
§ A lonely little horse which looks astonished at my partner's "big finger"

§  Nascosti sotto le radici ma una pallina luccicante ne segnalava la presenza
§ They were hidden below the roots but a shiny small ball heralded its presence

§  Ahimè, di questo sono rimasti solo i visitatori celesti ...
§ Alas, only the celestials visitors remained here ...

§  Qui i viandanti devono arrampicarsi per raggiungere il Bambino
§ Here the travellers must climb up to meet the Child

 § Questo è il mio preferito, adoro la stella cometa fatta con una pigna e le foglie di quercia.
Nulla è stato dimenticato, c'è perfino un minuscolo pungitopo con le sue bacche rosse
§ This is my favourite, I love the guiding star made with a pine cone and oak leaves.
Nothing has been forgotten , there is even a diminutive butcher's broom with its red berries

I cuscini di tessuto faranno parte del kit mentre quelli ricamati saranno un optional per chi desidera adottarli

§Eight of them will go into my Etsy shop, which will be reopened at last !, where you'll be make your choice :o)
The fabric pillows will be part of the kit while the stitched ones will be optional for those who will adopt them.
