§ Non mi odiate ......

Non ho scattato neanche una fotografia!! ma era tutto così bello,grandioso ed affascinante che ridurlo a pochi dettagli mi sembrava un delitto e ho impresso tutto nel mio cuore e nei miei occhi.

§ Do not hate me ......

I did not take one single picture ! everything was so beautiful, grand and charming that reducing it to few details seemed a crime and I impressed everything on my heart and eyes.

KDF

§ KDF è stata un'esperienza bellissima.

L'anno scorso come espositore non avevo visto NIENTE ma quest'anno mi sono rifatta :o))) Siamo entrate alle 10,30 e siamo uscite alle 17,00,ossia quando ci hanno sbattute fuori. Abbiamo salutato vecchie amiche e conosciuto nuovi affascinanti personaggi che ci hanno recitato buffe poesie di Mills e con cui abbiamo parlato di pittori Rinascimentali.

Appena potrò fare le foto vi mostrerò cosa ho comprato ;o)

§ KDF has been a fantastic experience.

Last year being an exhibitor I saw NOTHING but this year I made up with it :o))) We got in at 10,30am and went out at 5pm, that is when they threw us out. We greeted old friends ( Nikki,it has been such a pleasure meeting you, big hugs) and met new charming characters who quoted Mills' funny poems to us and with whom we talked of Italian Renaissance painters.

As soon as I'll be able to snap a pic I'll show you my buyings.

Tate Britain

§ E poi la Tate.....
La mostra sui Pre-Raffaelliti è stata un'esperienza fortissima.
Chiamatemi scema ma di fronte ad alcuni quadri mi sono messa a piangere.Le emozioni erano troppo intense e vedere queste opere dal vivo intensifica ogni sentimento.

§ And then the Tate ....
The Pre-Raphaelites exhibition has been such a strong experience.
Call me stupid but in front of some paintings I cried. Emotions were too strong and looking at these works in real enhance any feeling.

April Love

§ Uno dei miei preferiti: April Love.Cercate la figura maschile nascosta dietro la colonna, notate il suo gesto mentre bacia la mano alla fanciulla e notate il turbamento di lei. Quante emozioni,quante storie nascoste in una tela.

§ One of my favourite: April Love. Look for the male figure hidden behind the column, notice his gesture while he kisses the maiden's hand and perceive her perturbation. How many emotions, how many stories on one canvas.

§ Su un fronte più leggero ecco il ristorante dove abbiamo mangiato l'ultima sera: speciale, adorabile, accogliente, colorato e abbiamo mangiato BENISSIMO. Alla faccia di chi dice che in Inghilterra si mangia male!

On lighter side here is the restaurant where we dined our last night:special, adorable, cozy,colourfull and YUMMY. Regardless of those who say that in UK is impossible to have good food!

E poi la Tate Modern, Camden Town, Kensington, Westminster, Knightsbridge, i pub, le librerie, i giri in bus per spostarsi vedendo il più possibile.
Il sole, la pioggia, la gentilezza delle persone, i sorrisi, le architetture meravigliose....si capisce che amo Londra :o) ?

Sun, rain, people's kindness,smiles,wonderful architecture....can you feel that I love London :o) ?

4° Compleanno - 4th Birthday

§ Quattro anni di blog, quattro anni di grandi soddisfazioni e di continue nuove scoperte.

Purtroppo ultimamente ho trascurato questa parte della mia vita che è diventata così importante: non me ne vogliate, vi seguo sempre con affetto ma non riesco più a starvi così vicina come vorrei.

La vita in scala 1:1, nel bene e nel male, si intromette troppo.

Volevo ringraziarvi per tutto ciò che mi avete regalato in questi magnifici, velocissimi anni, siete tutti importantissimi per me.

§ Four years of blogging, four years of great satisfactions and continuous new discoverings.

Alas I havely lately neglected this part of my life which is so important to me: please, bear with me, I always follow you with great affection but I cannot be as close as I'd love to.

Life i 1:1 scale, either in good and bad, intrudes too much.

I wanted to thank you for what you have given to me during these wonderful, far too fast years, you are all very important to me.

 

§  Ma perchè la bandiera Inglese ?
Perchè oggi parto per Londra con la mia carissima amica Sabrina. E' un caso che si parta proprio oggi ma è un caso fortunato.

§ But why the Union Jack?
Because today I am leaving for London with my dearest friend Sabrina. It is just by chance that we are leaving today but it is a lucky chance.

§ Domani saremo al KDF e poi fino a martedì felicemente in giro per la città.

Di ritorno a casa - Back home

§ Di ritorno ......  molto stanca e un po' infelice.

 § Stanca perchè da tre giorni il mal di testa non mi lascia , un po' triste perchè praticamente non ho visto NIENTE.
Per fortuna :o))  sono riuscita a salutare Linda, Lory, Mariella, Veronique e Marcella e mi è venuta a salutare Nikki.
GRAZIE Nikki per essere passata , mi ha fatto un piacere enorme conoscerti ((^_^))
E grazie anche a Janice che è venuta a salutare e ha adottato una Zucca.
In più ho avuto il piacere di salutare Mulvany & Rogers and Jens Torp ( i miei miti assoluti) mentre preparavano il loro allestimento.
Poi BASTA , il KDF mi è scivolato tra le dita . Per cui mi dispiace, se aspettavate delle foto...... rien, nada, niente.

§ Tired because my headache hasn't left me for the last three days, a bit sad because I practically saw NOTHING.
Luckily :o)) I manage to say hallo to Linda, Lory, Mariella, Veronique and Marcella and Nikki came to meet me.

More over I had the pleasure of meeting Mulvany & Rogers and Jens Torp ( absolute myths of mine) while arranging their tables.

Rettifica - Correction

§ Amiche mie,
grazie mille per il supporto ma devo dirvi una cosa importante : la lettera non è stata inviata A me , è stata inviata a tutti !!!
Non c'è stato nessun intento maligno o personale , solo un'indicazione per il Festival.
Il problema è solo mio che mi sono agitata troppo !

§ Dear friends,
thank you very much for your support but I must tell you something important : the letter has not been sento TO me , it has been sent to everybody !!!
There was not personal or nasty intent , just an indication for the Festival.
The problem is only mine cos I worry too much !

Strizza - Jitters

§ E' definitivo , ho una strizza folle !

Il KDF si sta avvicinando ed io ho una paura folle.

Ieri ho ricevuto una mail dall'organizzatrice che, tra le altre cose, si raccomandava di portare SOLO oggetti di ottima qualità per non sminuire il Festival.

PANICO !!!

Come posso giudicare i miei lavori ?  io so quanto impegno ci metto ma sarà abbastanza ?

So che i miei disegni sono un po' fuori dagli schemi abituali delle Case di Bambola.

Io non  seguo troppo la moda , i miei lavori non sono shabby o country o  francesi o vittoriani , sono ...... Rosanniani , anche nella scelta del materiale.

E qui nasce il dubbio : saranno all'altezza ? o mi coprirò di ridicolo ?

La cosa che mi consola un po' è sapere che dal vero sono molto meglio che in fotografia e questo aiuterà quando sarò a Londra.

Non sono in caccia di complimenti per cui non fatemene , volevo solo sfogarmi un pochino.

§ It's definite , I have the jitters !

KDF is approaching and I am scared to death.

Yesterday I received a mail from the organizer which, among other issues,  reccomended to bring ONLY top quality items in order not to belittle the Festival. 

PANIC !!!

How can I judge my works ? I know how much care I put into them but will it be enough ?

I know that my patterns are a bit out of usual schemes for Dollshouses. 

I don't follow much fashion , my pieces are not shabby or country or french or victorian , they are ..... Rosannesque , even in the choice of material.

And here doubt arises : will they be up to the occasion ? or shall I be ridiculed ?

What consoles me a bit is knowing that in real life they are much better than in pic and this will be helpful when I shall be in London.

I am not hunting for compliments hence don't pay me  that , I just wanted to let a bit the steam out.

Winter Fairy

Nei giorni  scorsi una fatina è arrivata a casa mia ad annunciare il KDF.
Questo è il manifesto della Fiera di Natale e la splendida Fata dell' Inverno è opera delle mani magiche di Daniela Messina ossia Celidonia.
E' talmente bella che io ho incorniciato un manifesto per appenderlo in casa nel mio angolino.

In the last few days a Fairy arrived at my house to herald the KDF.
This is the show poster and the wonderful Winter Fairy is another piece made by the magical hands of Daniela Messina aka Celidonia.
She is so beautiful that I framed one poster to hang it in my house in my corner.

§ Chi di voi non sa cosa fare a Natale ?
§  Do you already know what you'll do at Christmas ?

§ Se sarete dalle parti di Londra potreste venire a trovarmi, il 3 Dicembre, al Kensington Dollshouse Festival dove ho avuto l'onore di essere ammessa.

§ If you'll be close to London you might decide and come to meet me, on the 3rd Decomber, at the Kensington Dollshouse Festival where I had the honour of being admitted.

§ Dire che sono emozionata ed eccitata è una grossolana sottovalutazione dei miei sentimenti.
Inutile dire che ho già cominciato a disegnare come una pazza.

§ Saying that I am excited and thrilled is a rough underestimation of my feelings.
Needless to say that I have already begun drawing like a mad woman.

§ La cosa buffa è che io non sono mai stata alla fiera come visitatore .... spero solo di avere un po' di tempo per potermi godere lo spettacolo di tanti fantastici artisti ed artigiani riuniti sotto lo stesso tetto.
§ The funny fact is that I have never been to the fair as a visitor ..... I only wish that I'll have a bit of time to enjoy the show of so many fabulous craftmen/women and artists gathered under the same roof.

§ Vorrei ringraziare tutti gli amici che mi hanno spronato a fare la domanda : senza il loro incoraggiamento non ne avrei mai avuto il coraggio.
§ I want to thank all the friends who spurred me to apply for it : without their encouragement I would have never been so brave to do it.
