Lo farò solo quando sarò sicura di divertirmi  e non lo sentirò come un obbligo come era successo dopo il KDF del 2011.
Miniaturare è bello ma la vita all'aria aperta ancora di più !!!

§ I cannot believe ... two posts in one day !
Blessed is the flu, I dare say, which allows me a couple of spare minutes when for the longest time I had none.

Blue roses

Susan era preoccupata...
Il suo pacchetto era partito più di un mese prima ed ancora non si vedeva ma alla fine la pazienza, di entrambe, è stata ricompensata :o))

Susan was worried...
Her parcel had left more than one month in advance and yet it didn't show up but eventually patience of both was rewarded :o))

 Susan ha vinto il mio ultimo giveaway ed è stata così generosa che ha preparato per me questo ADORABILE "cappellino" per la mia teiera rosa.
Mi aveva chiesto i miei colori preferiti e mi ha fatto scegliere tra due modelli.
Con questo è stato amore a prima vista

Susan won my last giveaway and she was so generous to make this ADORABLE "hat" for my pink teapot.
She asked about my fav colours and she made me choose between two models.
This was love at first sight

Guardate i bocciolini nascosti tra le foglie e come le foglie si sollevano come nasini impertinenti.
Lo adoro !

Look at the buds hidden under the leaves and how they lift up like naughty little noses.

So che da tanto tempo non scrivo ma il bel tempo, il sole e la mia bici mi hanno tenuto molto fuori casa. Diciamo che di rado ho acceso un pc....
Inoltre alla fine di Luglio ho subito un piccolo incidente: sono stata investita da un'auto mentre ero ferma a cavalcioni della mia bici su un marciapiedi.
Capita e fortunatamente non mi sono fatta davvero male.
Purtroppo però sono rimaste delle parestesie ad entrambe le mani, molto noiose e che mi impediscono una corretta sensibilità. Insomma, niente ricami per un po' e neppure lavori troppo fini :o(
Ma datemi del tempo e sarò di nuovo al meglio :o)

I know that I haven't been blogging for a while but lovely weather, sun and my cicle kept me out of home for the longest time. Let's say that I have hardly switched on the pc....
More over at the end of July I had a minor car accident: I have been strucked down by a car while I was standing still on my cicle on the pavement.
It happens and luckily I wasn't truly hurt.
Alas both hands suffer now from parasthesias, very boring and they prevent a correct sensitiveness.
Well, no more stitchings and fine works for a while :o(
But just give me some time and I shall be back better than before :o)

Per fortuna è stato molto veloce e soprattutto è arrivato...recentemente ho avuto brutte esperienze con la Posta, brrrr....

Té del pomeriggio - Afternoon tea

§ Vi presento i miei nuovi copriteiera ispirati a Laduree e ai suoi dolci

§ Let me introduce you to my new teacozies inspired by Laduree and its sweets

                                            La cupcake fiorita  -  The flower cupcake

§  La teiera è di Stokesay Ware, i biscotti di Paris Miniatures e la tazza con il piattino sono un kit di True2scale che ho fatto l'anno scorso.
§ The teapot is by Stokesay Ware, the cookies by Paris Miniatures,while cup and saucer are made by me with a kit by True2scale.

§ Ecco un primo piano, purtroppo la luce era orribile ed i colori sono falsati . Ho usato 19 colori per ricamarlo ed è tratto da uno schema Francese che ho adattato alle miniature.

§ Here is a close up, alas the light was terrible and the colours are unreal.I used 19 hues of threads to stitch it and it comes from a French pattern which I adapted to mini use.

§  Mi sono ispirata ai giardini di Primavera ed è volutamente rustico.Ho lasciato il fondo nudo ricamando solo il decoro
§ I was inspired by Spring gardens and it is purposely rustic. I left a bare background stitching only the decor.

§ Il fondo è di lino rosa pallidissimo e mi sono divertita a inventarmi fiori colorati :o)
§ The background is a very soft pink linen and I had fun making up colourfull flowers :o)

§ Spero vi piacciano, anche loro saranno presto sul mio Etsy

§ A new teacozy inspired by English roses and gardens

§ Gemma, una amica di Barcellona, sta costruendo una sala da té Inglese e mi ha chiesto un copriteiera.
Mi ha inviato la foto della  tappezzeria che userà e che mi ha aiutato nella scelta dei colori.

§ Gemma, a friend from Barcelona, is building an English tea room and asked me a teacozy.
She sent to me a pic of the wallpaper she is going to use and this helped me for the choice of colours.

§ L'ha ricevuto oggi per cui posso mostrarlo a tutti voi

§ She got it today hence I can show it to you all

§ Ma questo non è l'unico pezzo nuovo, ce ne sono altri 18 in arrivo :o) e tra poco ve li potrò mostrare

§ But this is not the only new piece, there are 18 new ones coming soon :o) ,wait a bit and I'll show them to you

Friends make life special

§  Poco più di un mese fa ero all 'areoporto di Lubecca , sola soletta, e già sentivo la mancanza delle due care amiche che avevo appena salutato.
§ A little bit more than 1 month ago I was at Lubeck aiport , all alone, and already missing the two dear friends whom I waved goodbye to only a few minutes sooner .

§ L' areoporto è PICCOLISSIMO ! ma ha un' edicola :o))  dove ho trovato una rivista Francese di punto croce dove ho trovato due schemi perfetti per l' occasione.
§ The airport is TINY ! but it has a bookstall :o)) where I found a French cross stitch mag featuring two patterns perfect for the occasion .

 § Li ho un po' arrangiati , modificati ed ecco il risultato : un cuscino ed un copriteiera che sono un inno all'amicizia.
§ I bashed them , modifing them and here is the result : one pillow and a teacozy which are a hymn to friendship.

§ Oggi  mi sono divertita a giocarci un pochino ma da stasera saranno nel mio Etsy per chi volesse adottarli .
§ Today I played a bit wih them but from tonight on they will be on my Etsy to be adopted by a loving person.

§  Qui potete vederlo INGRANDITO , dal vero sono molto più piccini e carini
§ Here you can see it ENLARGED , in real size they are way cuter and smaller.

§  Ho usato mezzo punto, punto croce, punto nodini e punto scritto sempre sul mio amatissimo lino che è il mio tessuto preferito in assoluto
§ I used cross stich, half stich , french knots and back stitch on my beloved linen which is absolutely  my favourite fabric.

§  Se ve lo state chiedendo ..... sì, il "tessuto" a quadretti è ricamato , come tutto il resto :o)
§ If you are wondering ..... yes, the gingham cloth is stitched as well , like all the rest :o)

§  La seggiolina è di Vilia Miniatures,  il piattino a foglia è di Veronique Cornish , la teiera è stata acquistata in un negozio a Milano e non conosco l'autore così come per la tazza.
Il libro è un kit di Paper Minis , il vassoio è di McQueenie Miniatures mentre le micro cupcakes sono  di Cindy ossia Snowfern Clover.
§ The chair is by Vilia Miniatures , the leaf dish is by Veronique Cornish , the teapot was bought in a shop in Milan like the cup and I don't know the maker name.
The book is a kit by Paper Minis , the butler tray is by McQueenie Miniatures while the micro cupcakes are by Cindy aka Snowfern Clover.

§ Cosa c'entrano un paio di calzini con i copriteiera ?

C'entrano se qualcuno da molto lontano ti chiede di riprodurne il disegno.

Una bella scommessa ed un gradito cambiamento della routine.

§  How does a pair of socks relate to a teacozy ?

It does if someone from far away asks you to reproduce the pattern. 

A nice challenge and a welcomed change from routine.

§  Così è nato un copriteiera moderno, fresco e giovane nel colore preferito della mia "cliente" con cui ho scambiato una serie di mails per decidere sul da farsi.

§ A teacozy was born, modern, fresh and young in the best loved colour of my "customer" with whom I exchanged a few mails to make up our minds.

§  Eccolo qui vicino ad una teierina moderna e minimalista - dono di Sans :o)))

§ Here it is next to a small teapot minimalist and modern - gift from Sans :o)))

§  Avevo preparato un paio di opzioni per il retro , una più tradizionale con la stoffina a cuoricini ed una un po' folle con un maxi fiore a riprendere quelli su davanti.

§ I prepared a couple of options for the background , one more traditional with a pattern of wee hearts and another a bit crazy with a huge flower matching the ones on the front.

 § Ma Soyoko mi ha chiesto un retro sobrio e blu così eccolo qui , realizzato con del gros grain vintage la cui consistenza ben si sposa con quella della garza di seta su cui ho ricamato.

§ Soyoko instead asked me a sober and blue back and I did it in vintage gros grain , its consistency matches well the front one which is stitched on silk gauze .

§ Soyoko ha già visto il suo t-cozy che partirà per il Giappone domani : un gran balzo per una cosina così piccina.
Volevo ancora ringraziarla per questa commissione, è stato davvero divertente ricamarlo e per tutti voi: non esitate , se avete dei desideri particolari ..... basta chiamarmi :o))

§ Soyoko has already seen her T-cozy which will be  travelling for Japan tomorrow : a big jump for such a tiny
thing.
I want to thank her again for this commission , stitching it it's been real fun  and for you all : don't esitate , if you have special wishes ...... just call me :o))
