* Sans ha mostrato al mondo le foto del momento topico del nostro viaggio ;o)

Sicuramente del momento meno programmato....

Eravamo a Bali quando abbiamo ricevuto un SMS che ci chiedeva se avessimo voglia di prestare la "faccia" per una campagna pubblicitaria. Subito abbiamo pensato ad uno scherzo ma capito che era una seria richiesta ci siamo detti...

"Perchè no ?!"

Così un mercoledì mattina siamo partiti per Little India con l'adorabile Pamela, che è stata la nostra babysitter per due giorni, per acquistare i costumi per il servizio del giorno dopo.

A proposito; non mi ero assolutamente resa conto che i gli abiti nostri e dei Rollas fossero così uguali.

Il giovedì , alle 9 in punto, è cominciato il bombardamento di fotografie che è durato fino all'una.

Ci siamo divertiti come pazzi !!!!

Certainly the least scheduled......

We were in Bali when we received a SMS which asked us if we wanted to lend our "face" for an advertising campaign. At the moment we thought of a joke but as soon as we realized that it was a serious option we said to ourselves.....

"Why not?!"

One Wednesday morning we left for Little India with lovely Pamela, who has been our babysitter for two days, to buy the costumes for the next day shooting.

BTW, I didn't realize that ours and Rollas clothes were so similar.

On Thursday, at 9 sharp, the shooting began and it lasted till 1 p.m.

We had a lot of fun !!!!

* Per prima cosa sosta al banco delle ghirlande di fiori; sono talmente belle e profumate che se abitassi a Singapore ne comprerei una al giorno per decorare la casa.

* First stop at the flowers garlands stall they are so beautiful and deliciously smelly that if I lived in Singapore I should buy one each day to decorate my home.

* Poi al mercato delle stoffe e dei vestiti; mai visti tanti colori e tanti luccichii riuniti in un unico spazio

* Then the fabric and clothes market; we had never seen so many colours and so much bling gathered in a single place.

* Tappa al ristorante per provare il delizioso cibo indiano. Fantastico !!

* Stop at the restaurant to try the yummy indian food. Fabulous !!!

* Un attimo di pausa per guardare due fotine in anteprima. Pamela ci seguiva con la nostra mini macchinetta e scattava per noi

* One moment of rest to look at a couple of piccies . Pamela was following us shooting with our mini camera.

* Un assaggio di Tea, dolce, speziato e spumoso. Da assaggiare !

* A cup of Tea, sweet, spicy and frothy. A must try !

* Meravigliosi granchi. Erano vivi e ci guardavano con i loro occhietti a palla, quasi quasi mi facevano pena .... ma non abbastanza da perdere il Chilly Crab tipico di Singapore ;o)

* Wonderful crabs. They were alive and they looked at us with their little ball eyes, I nearly pitied them .... but not enough not to taste the Singapore Chilly Crab ;o)
* Visita al Tempio Indiano con le sue fantastiche sculture colorate

* Visit at the Indian Temple with its fantastic coloured sculptures

* Ma quanto sono buoni i rambutan ?

* How much good are the rambutans ?

* E quanto puzza il durian ?

* And how much stinky is durian ?

sono un po' presa..... - I'm a bit busy.....

§ Chiedo scusa per la scarsa presenza/partecipazione ai tutti i vostri blog.

Soprattutto mi scuso con tutti i nuovi lettori, 348 su questo blog e 177 per la Casa Rossa, che non ho salutato personalmente.

Alcuni non hanno blog di riferimento ma il vero motivo che non ho proprio il tempo materiale.

Dal mio ritorno dalle ferie la vita 1:1 mi ha fagocitata, troppo da fare sul lavoro e anche sul piano familiare.

In più, dal momento che sono masochista!, ho tre nuovi progetti in corso d'opera !

Some of you do not have a link or a blog but the real reason is that I do not have materially the time.

Since my return from holidays 1:1 life has swallowed me, too much to do at work and inside the family as well.

Bosco di Rovo - Brambly Hedge

§ Una vita fa, davvero si parla dello scorso inverno, Elisabetta mi chiese se potevo realizzare un copriteiera per la sua meravigliosa casa del Bosco di Rovo.

Elisabetta è un'artista fantastica, lavora minuscole ceramiche al tornio e sono orgogliosa di possedere alcuni dei suoi lavori.

Per questo motivo volevo che il suo copriteiera fosse, se non perfetto, almeno il

più aderente possibile all'originale.

Eli mi inviò un'immagine a cui ispirarmi ed io in seguito ho acquistato dei libri per poter assorbire l'atmosfera fatata in cui vivono i topini.

Ecco il delizioso disegno da cui sono partita .....

§ One life ago, really I'm talking of last winter, Elisabetta asked me if I could stitch a Tcozy for her marvellous Brambley Hedge house.

Elisabetta is a fabulous artist, she works teeny tiny potteries on the wheel and I'm the proud owner of some of her works.

For this reason I wished that her Tcozy were, if not perfect, at least as adhering to the original as possibe.

Eli sent me an image to inspire me and later on I bought some books to soak in the fairy atmosphere in which the little mice live.

This is the delightful drawing which has guided me from the beginning ....

In realtà è alto circa 3 cm, pallina compresa, ed i punti sono piccini piccini.

Ovviamente sono caduta dalle nuvole !

Eva è stata così gentile e carina da farmi una scansione delle pagine e da mandarmele.

L'angolino di Giuggiola - Giuggiola's small corner

§ Tante di voi hanno mostrato il loro laboratorio e in generale la stanza dove creano le loro mini e si dedicano ai loro interessi.

Alcune di voi hanno spazi immensi, arredati meravigliosamente, dove lavorare deve essere favoloso.

Io invece vivo in una casa di bambole :o) Ossia in una casina piccina picciò anche se accogliente e comoda.

Così mi sono ritagliata un angolino in sala dove posso stare con la mia famiglia ma posso anche nascondere il disordine.

O meglio, dove posso nascondere tutto il ciarpame con cui invado il tavolo da pranzo ;o)

§ So many of you have shown their laboratories and the workrooms where they create their minis and devote time to their interests.

Some of you have huge spaces, beautifully decorated, where working must be heavenly.

But I live in a dollshouse :o). Which is a teeny tiny flat although cozy and comfortable.

Thus I cut for myself a small corner in the living room where I can stay with family but in the meanwhile I can hide the mess.

Better, where I can hide all the rubbish cluttering the dining table ;o)

§ Il paravento è un regalo del mio papà che l'ha costruito apposta per me

§ The screen is a gift from my Dad who built it especially for me
§ Il tavolino ha più di 100 anni e, anche se il cassetto non scorre benissimo, mi è troppo simpatico per cambiarlo.

§ The small table is more than 100 years old and, even if the drawer doesn't run too well, I like it too much to change it.

§ Sullo scaffale più alto ci sono le scatole dove tengo i fili da ricamo in uso al momento, le matite colorate per disegnare gli schemi e la room box Parigina regalo di Sylvia.

Il disegno dei ballerini di tango è opera di un amico pittore.

Gli scaffali bassi contengono schemi , scatole di fili, colori, Fimo, pennelli.....insomma tutto ciò che mi serve per i miei giochini.

§ On the upper shelf there are the boxes where I keep the threads which I'm using at the moment, the coloured pencils to draw the pattrns and the Paris room box present by Sylva.

The drawing with the Tango dancers is work of a friend who is a painter.

The lower shelves contain patterns, boxes of threads, colours, Fimo, brushes.......everything I need to play with.

§ Il cassetto da tipografo dove tengo parte delle mie mini, quelle che mi piace guardare e i regalini che ricevo dalle amiche.

§ The tipesetter drawer where I keep some of my minis, those I like to look at and the presents received by friends.

§ Ed infine il mio ufficio ! La seggiolina mi tiene compagnia e mi ispira mentre ricamo la stoffa per i suoi cuscini.

§ Last but not least my office ! The wee chair keeps me company and inspires me while I stitch the fabric for its cushions.

§ Tutto qui ! poco più di 1.5 mq ma guai a chi mi disturba quando sono qui dentro !

§ That's all ! little more than 1.5 squaremeters but no one dares disturb me when I'm inside !

§ A Singapore ho fatto shopping ^_^

Non pensate ad abiti, scarpe o quant'altro: io ho fatto MINI shopping !

Infatti ho trovato, grazie alle nuove amiche, un saaacco di posti dove comprare materiale grezzo da poter utilizzare: una miniera d'oro !

Questa è la mia scorta di carta da origami. Mi basterà per tutta la vita....

Do not think of shoes, clothes or whatsoever: I did MINI shopping !

Thank to the new friends, I found a LOT of places where buy raw materials: a gold mine !

This is my origami paper lot. It will last me a life time .....

§ L' origami, come voi saprete, è un'arte gentile , apparentemente futile, ma che arriva a livelli di raffinatezza inauditi.

Richiede grande pazienza e precisione e instancabile costanza ( a mio giudizio).

§ As you know origami is a gentle art, appereantly futile, but it arrives to an unspoken level of refinement.

It requires great patience and precision and unfailing costance ( this is how I see it).

§ Infatti io non ho fatto ancora niente.....

Una piccola amica però mi ha fatto un dono; usando dei mini quadrati di carta, piegando, stirando e chissà cos'altro, ha dato vita a delle gru.

Riescono perfino a sbattere le ali !

But a little friend has done a gift for me; using mini paper squares, folding, bending and who knows what, she has created some cranes.

§ Non solo ho ricevuto meravigliosi regali ma, tornando a casa, ho trovato il regalo di Lisette.

Lisette mi aveva scritto proponendomi uno swap con uno dei miei copriteiera e ,avendo visto i suoi cappotti sul suo blog, non ho avuto dubbi su cosa potevo chiederle.

§ Not only I did receive wonderful gifts but, coming back home, I found Lisette's present.

Lisette wrote to me proposing a swap with one of my teacozies. Having seen her coats on her blog I had no doubt on what I might as to her.

E' il vero cappotto che un marinaio userebbe e sarà appeso nell'ingresso della Casa Rossa.

una scatola di biscotti fasciati singolarmente ed una fantastica scatola di tè. Contiene 10 bustine di cui una aperta e da cui si può estrarre la bustina completa di etichetta. Vedere per credere !

a box of wrapped cookies and an incredibile box of tea. It contains 10 tea bags, one of them is open and from it is possible to extract a filter with its label. See to believe !
§ E alla fine......

Non ho parole per ringraziare Sans per il regalo, Kristy per la rapidità e la perfezione con cui ha realizzato questa meraviglia.

E' stata la vacanza dell'amicizia.
